This course has three objectives:

1. To introduce students to some interesting current law cases in English and US law. The cases will be taken from medical law (ˆγŽ––@), e.g. euthanasia, assisted suicide, abortion, transsexuality, non-consensual sterilization & in vitro fertilization. These cases are interesting because they raise important ethical and human rights issues.

2. To develop students legal vocabulary and ability to discuss the law in English. Please note: this class is taught in English.

3. To help students improve their general reading and listening comprehension skills in English.
