授業の目的 |
This class aims at introducing students the legal trends in internet and information law. Emphasis will be given on training the students to make classroom presentations on case studies related to the topic in English
The classes will consist of presentation lectures, and student group case presentations and discussions.

授業の概要・計画 |
Class 01-11:
Selected topics of internet and information law. Topics will range from the following issues: Class 6 will also be used to determine the grouping for case presentations.
a. Privacy
b. Internet and business
c. Online security
d. Virtual worlds
e. Open source
f. Cyber warfare
g. Internet and personal rights
h. Other related topics
Classes 12-14:
Group presentations and discussion.
Class 15:
Wrap-up

授業の進め方 |
Students are expected to have read the assigned reading material, if there are any, before coming to class.
As part of the requirement for the class, the students will be separated into 5 groups. Each of these groups will make an oral presentation using PowerPoint (or similar software program) on an assigned case.

| 教科書・参考書等 |
Reading materials, if there are any, will be handed out at least one week before the respective class. The cases for group presentations will be handed out by Class 6. |
| 成績評価の方法・基準 |
Grading of this class will be as follows:
- 30% - class participation;
- 70% - Oral presentation
