履修条件	The course will be divided into 2 parts. The first part shall cover introduction to legal cases involving Internet and Technology. The second part will concentrate on presentation and discussion of the various cases previously studied. The objective is to gain better understanding of the basic concepts of Law and information/technology through case studies and student presentations.
授業の目的	Students will be able to: A.　　Understand basic concepts on Law and Information/Technology B.　　Discuss issues related to the subject areas C.　　Student presentation of Case Studies D.　　Practice English legal writing
授業の概要・計画	The course will be divided into 2 parts. The first part shall cover general introduction to the cases and concepts. The second part will concentrate student presentation and discussion. Class participation is encouraged and to some degree, expected. The course structure may be subject to change and modification as the course progresses. Lecture Plan: 1. Introduction to internet and technology law, 2. Introduction to law and internet privacy, 3. Introduction to cybercrime and internet security I, 4. Introduction to cybercrime and internet security II, 5. Introduction to internet and rights to information and expression, 6. Other legal cases of interest, 7. Student presentation I, 8. Student presentation II, 9. Student presentation III, 10. Student presentation IV, 11. Student presentation V, 12. Student presentation VI, 13. Student presentation VII, 14. Student presentation VIII, 15. Final exam
授業の進め方	Lecture, case study, presentations, oral discussion, case study report
教科書・参考書等	Will be provided in class
成績評価の方法・基準	To be discussed in class. (including class presentation and take-home final report) Tentatively: 30% class presentation, 40% presentation, 30% case study report.
