This is a debating course, not a reading or presentation course. Those who would really like to improve onefs output in English are highly recommended to register for this course. Also if you are interested in politics and public policy, this is exactly the course for you.
The students enrolled in this course are, through policy debating, particularly expected:
1. To be familiarised with policy debate in English.
2. To work on argumentation, reasoning, critical thinking, research, presentation, and other skills relevant to policy debate.

The Main Debate Topic:
Should the Japanese government remove the tariff on rice imports?
(The national topic for intercollegiate/high-school English debate tournaments in Fall 2013)
