This course will tackle current issues on the intersect of Law and Technology. |

授業の目的 |
This class will introduce students to recent hot topics in technology and discuss on how law and technology affects each other. The approach of the class will be international and not limited to the Japanese experience.
Depending on the number of students, the class will be divided into groups for presentations on the topics that will be discussed in class. |

授業の概要・計画 |
The first 3 classes will be introductory lectures on the topic of law and technology.
The fourth class will creating the presentation groups and to decide on the law and technology topics for each group. The selection of the topic will be left for the students to determine, with consultation with the professor.
Depending on the number of students enrolled, the rest of the classes will be presentations and discussions.
The 14th class will be an essay type exam.
The last (15th class) will be an oral exam based on the essay written on the 14th class. |

授業の進め方 |
Students are expected to read up on news and current affairs in relation to technology (and law). This is important in order to come up with the group presentation topics.
During the lectures and presentations, students are expected to actively contribute to the class discussion. |
