Peace Studies as an academic subject was founded after World War II aiming to create a “world without war.” Due to deepening and diversifying contents of “peace,” it now consists of many disciplines including arts and sciences, so that truly becomes an interdisciplinary field. The lecture gives a framework of peace studies: theory, history and cases. The topics includes culture, European universalism, Nationalism, Cold War, Post-Cold War, refugee crisis, economy and climate change. It also includes film watching and active discussions with related with those topics. |
