授業の概要・授業計画
The course aims to introduce the graduate students multiple of issues related to international migration which is an integral part of the globalization processes that shapes the state and societies today. It covers readings from both theoretical and empirical studies having its focus on political economy, state policies, labor market, and feminization of migration in Asia. The course especially focuses on gender and migration and the state policies in mediating migration and governance issues in Asia. It attempts to understand the nature of the cross border movement of people within the transformation of the state and the market under globalization.
