Emeritus Professor Caslav Pejovic has a new book titled “International Maritime Law and Practice—Comparative Law in Context.”
This book results mainly from my 25 years teaching the course International Maritime Law at the LLM program of the Faculty of Law, Kyushu University, in Japan. During these years of teaching, I prepared notes for my lectures that are now part of this book in a style adjusted for a book. I want to acknowledge the significant contribution of the generations of LLM students of this course who came from all over the world, bringing different perspectives to my course. Their questions have often brought up issues I have never considered, which has been a testament to learning as a two-way process. Professors can learn many new things from their students, and this book is also a tribute to their valuable contributions.
