Since November 2001 he is holding a Professor Chair in International Legal Studies at Graduate School of Law, Kyushu University, Japan. He is also Director (in leave) of Institute of Comparative Law, Faculty of Law, Thammasat University. His main activities are teaching and researches at Kyushu University in Japan.

Biographical Information

Born in 1956 in Chumphon Province, Thailand, he attended his high school in Bangkok at Suankularb Wittayalai and went to study law at Thammasat University, where he was very active in student activities and got graduated (LL.B) in 1978. He was recruited as a lecturer of Law at Thammasat University in 1980. After he finished his LL.M. at Thammasat university he went to further his study at Bonn University in Germany. For his doctorate study he got a scholarship from Friedrich-Ebert Foundation and completed his Doctor iuris with "summa cum laude" from Bonn University. At Thammasat University he gives lectures in private law, philosophy of law and integrated studies in law. In 1997 he was nominated as a commission member of the Official Information Commission of Thailand. He was awarded with a Alexander-von-Humboldt Scholarship in 1998-1999 and was nominated as a corresponding member of the German Association for Comparative Law (die Gesellschaft fuer Rechtsvergleichung) in 2001. In November 2001 he was nominated as a Professor of Law at Kyushu University, Japan and will serve as a Professor at Kyushu University until October 2002.
