This course provides a practical overview of intellectual property laws in Japan, with a particular focus on patents, copyrights, and trademarks. These topics will be discussed in the context of other jurisdictions, including the EU, the U.S., and various Asian countries. |

| 到達目標 |
Students are expected to gain practical training on how to utilize the tools offered by intellectual property laws to protect their clients’ rights. Japanese-speaking students are additionally expected to obtain the skill to explain intellectual property law practice to foreign clients in English. |
| 授業の概要 |
知的財産の法律実務において、重要なイシューについて、英語を用いて解説します。取り扱うケースのいくつかは、「知的財産と法」または「知的財産紛争処理」と共通のものとなります。一方、これら二科目で扱う特許法および著作権法以外のケースも取り扱います。 |

| 試験・成績評価等 | 期末試験を行う。毎回のクラスにおけるスキルとナレッジの獲得の度合を30%、期末試験又はそれに代わる方法の結果を70%として成績を評価します。 |

1) 講義は、英語によって、行われます。 2) この科目は、九州大学法学府修士課程国際コース(LL.M.)九州大学および ビジネス・スクール(QBS)との共同開講です。 3) この科目は、九州大学伊都キャンパス イーストゾーン で開講されます。 4) 事前に教員にemailで連絡のうえ、オンライン(zoom)で参加することができます。 5) スケジュールが変則的であることに注意してください。 6) 授業の回数は、Guidance（九州大学法科大学院生および ビジネス・スクール(QBS)生向けのガイダンス）と九州大学法学府修士課程国際コース(LL.M.)の学生が参加する第1回～第14回をあわせた全15回となります。 |
