Sang Hee HAN

Han Sang-Hee is Professor of International Law and International Politics. He studied French Language and Literature (B.A.) and International Law (LL.M.) in Korea University. He received an LL.D. (International Law) in Keio University with a Japanese MEXT Scholarship, and a Ph.D. (International Politics) in Peking University with a Chinese CSC Scholarship. He was a Visiting Scholar in New York University and Vietnam National University (Hanoi), and a Visiting Research Fellow in National University of Singapore (ASLI). Han is interested in the different functions of norms (law), power (politics), and shared values (culture, religion, identity etc.) and the mechanisms of their interplays in international society, from the interdisciplinary approaches of international law, international politics, and diplomatic history. To clarify the mechanisms, he has been collecting, analyzing and comparing the books of international law, the perspectives of intellectuals and the practices of States in East Asia, in comparison with those of other regions, including Europe and America.
