Prof. Ramseyer

The Conference Organizers would like to thank Professor Ramseyer for generously agreeing to write an introduction for the conference materials. Although Professor Ramseyer will not be able to attend the conference, we know that his contribution will benefit everyone at the conference.

Professor Mark Ramseyer

J. Mark Ramseyer is the Mitsubishi Professor of Japanese Legal Studies at Harvard University.  He holds a J.D. from Harvard (magna cum laude, 1982), and an A.M. (Japanese Studies, 1978) from the University of Michigan and a B.A. (History, 1976) from Goshen College.  His current research concerns the determinants of income among Japanese taxpayers.  Prior to coming to Harvard, he taught at the University of Chicago and UCLA.  He has also taught or co-taught courses at the University of Tokyo, Waseda University, Hitotsubashi University, Tohoku University, and the University of Virginia.


The Corporate Governance in East Asia 2007 Conference papers were published on the Asian-Pacific Law & Policy Journal, Volume IX, Issue 1.
