Dr. Alexander Freiherr von Campenhausen

Alexander entered the European Commission in December 2005 where he acts as a policy officer focusing on road safety. Prior to that, Alexander worked for one year at the European Division of the German Foreign Office in Berlin and five years at the Federal Environmental Agency in Germany focusing on the regulation of the chemical industry.

Alexander received his LL.M. in International Business Law from Kyushu University in 1997. He continued his studies in Germany and obtained his Ph.D. on “Social Standards in International Trade” at the University of Hannover in 2004. Alexander also holds a law degree from the University of Heidelberg and completed his secondary legal education in 1995.
