Mr. John Javier

Peter John U. Javier, as the Head of the Office on Halls of Justice, Office of the Court Administrator, is presently the youngest official of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He has been with the Supreme Court since 1997, where he started as a Law Clerk for then Associate Justice Santiago M. Kapunan. Aside from his primary task of supervising and managing the courthouses all over the Philippines, John is also a member of the various committees of the Supreme Court on Judicial Reform, Court Administration as well as Procurement. In 2001, as the first Filipino recipient of the Young Leaders Program Scholarship, John took a leave from the Court to obtain his LL. M. degree at Kyushu University. John earned his B.A. in Political Science and LL.B. from the University of the Philippines. He was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1997.

John at one time or another was connected with the University of the Philippines, the University of the East and the National University, teaching various courses ranging from Persons and Family Relations, Public International Law and Dental Jurisprudence and Ethics. He still serves as a thesis adviser and thesis panelist for the LL.M. program of the University of Santo Tomas.
