Mr. Zorigt, Dashdorj is the Minister for the newly established Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia. He was the former CEO of Erdenes-MGL, LLC, and the former Director General of the Strategic Planning and Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Government of Mongolia. He obtained his LL.M. from Kyushu University. He completed his M.A. in International Relations at the Australian National University, and his M.A. in Politics from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

He has been an active public servant in the government of Mongolia, particularly in the field of international relations. His various official posts included: Director General of the Strategic Planning and Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Trade from (2005-2007); Director-General of the Department of Economic Cooperation Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (2004); First Secretary of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2003), the First Secretary of Mongolia’s Mission to the United Nations from (2000-2002); and the Deputy Director of the Department of Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-2000). He was likewise an Officer of the Department of Policy Coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998), and the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1994-1996).
