Simon Vande Walle

Simon Vande Walle is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in law (LL.D.) at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan. His research interests lie in competition law, civil litigation and comparative law. He is writing a thesis about private antitrust litigation in the European Union and Japan and has published on competition law, collective actions and arbitration.

Before joining the doctoral program at Kyushu University, Simon was a managing associate at the Brussels office of Linklaters, where he specialized in litigation and arbitration. He studied law at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium (LL.B., LL.M.), Université Jean-Moulin Lyon III, France (Erasmus exchange), Kyushu University, Japan (LL.M.) and Georgetown University Law Center, U.S. (LL.M.), where he was a fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law and recipient of the Thomas Bradbury Chetwood, S.J. Prize.
