Stefan WRBKA

Stefan Wrbka is Associate Professor at Kyushu University Graduate School of Law and Kyushu University International Education Center. His research interests focus on various aspects of consumer protection law with the focus on developments within the European Union. He has previously taught law at Ryukoku University, Kyoto, and Konan University, Kobe. Before entering into academia he practiced law in two law firms in Vienna, Austria, and worked as legal counsel at the headquarters of Red Bull GmbH in Fuschl am See, Austria.

Associate Professor Wrbka obtained his law degrees at Kyushu University Graduate School of Law (LL.M.) and the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. and Dr. iur.). He has been awarded academic scholarships of excellence by the University of Vienna and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science & Technology. He is a member of the German-Japanese Association of Jurists and the Japanese Consumer Law Association and has published on Austrian consumer law while in Japan.
