| 授業の目的 | The overall goal of this course is to improve compentency and confidence in using legal English in the context of an international business environment in which English is the common means of commmunication. This overarching objective will be achieved by focusing on: 1. Developing core business law related English language skills, namely (i) explaining business law related issues to non-lawyers, (ii) negotiating legal agreements and (iii) legal writing and drafting. In order to achieve these goals, this course will deal with a broad range of business law related English. 2. Developing legal knowledge by studying selected fundamental features of contemporarｙ global business law in English. |
| 履修条件 | The outcomes of the course will be to provide the students with basic communication skills in business English, with a particular focus on contracts. Although there are no particular conditions set for those who will take the course, in order to ensure the outcomes, the students should show their strong concern and willingness in using English for their future career. |

| 授業の概要 |
本コースでは、国際ビジネス法における様々なテーマについて考察する。 英語技能の4要素（読解、作文、会話、リスニング）の向上に焦点を当て、各クラス所定の教材に基づき、英語のみでネイティブにより授業が行われる。 |
| 授業の概要(英語) | This course examines various topics in international business law. Each class will be given by a native English speaking professor. The course will be conducted exclusively in English based on the prescribed class materials, and will focus on improving all the four elements of English proficiency (namely reading, writing, listening, speaking). |

| 授業の進め方 | The course focuses on improving students' English in reading and writing legal documents and oral communications in legal negotiations. In this regard, the course will be conducted in a lecture-style, a one-to-one and a group-to-group style. The students are sometimes requested to write a legal document in English in the classroom. |
| 教科書及び参考図書等 | There will be no textbook. Class materials will be provided on a week-to-week basis. |
| 試験・成績評価等 |
Class attendance and class participation: 30 % Final Report 70 % In this class, we will examine business contracts and international business law in English through multi-directional class interactions as well as roleplay and class discussion of practical, real-world"" cases. We do not conduct a final exam because we will evaluate from a multifaceted point of view based on these classroom activities. |
