Faculty of Law, Kyushu University is renowned for its pioneering effort in internationalization and global engagement. The effort has been manifested in the establishment of a number of international programs in law and politics, including the Japan’s very first LL.M. program conducted entirely in English, which has grown to receive more or less 100 international students from over 20 countries every year.
In addition, the Faculty of Law is an active member of the global academic community. It has been collaborating through numerous programs and projects with partner universities and other prestigious institutions around the world, while continuing to build up robust networks in order to offer a more innovative learning and research environment.
Last but not least, the Faculty of Law has been hosting annual conferences where respected scholars and young researchers are invited to share innovative ideas, which are published later in forms of original research articles and books to stimulate extended and interdisciplinary discussions in major fields of society. Numerous international collaborations for joint research and projects are still under way, despite disruptions caused by the 2020 pandemic.
